For over 23 years, Expanded Polystyrene Supplies have been supplying packaging for all the seasonal hampers to the worlds’ most famous department store. Polystyrene was chosen, due to the hampers having many breakable glass items inside, making each hamper heavy. The polystyrene not only protected each item but also saved on weight compared to other traditional packaging methods. This also kept all the products in a presentable manner. The packaging consisted of several polystyrene trays per hamper which had cutouts to match the products. This ensured all the items stayed in position and would be in-cased in a protective package. Due to the popularity of the seasonal hampers, the quantities grew to over 19,000 a year, which was equivalent to 900 of our 8ft x 4ft x 2ft blocks of polystyrene.
